Recently, the manufacturer announced an AD to inspect rudder cables immediately and at each 100 hour check. This arose from an aircraft that was found with severly frayed cables. See below. The issue seems to be where the cable exits the aft fairlead. Aileron and flap cables should be routinely checked as well, particularly at the lower pulley area, where dirt and dust can acceleate wear. Total time in service about 300 hours.
